Women's Empowerment Cell

Preamble:

Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences (AITS) is committed to provide a safe, fair and harmonious learning and encouraging work environment. In tune with it, Women Empowerment Cell was set up at AITS in accordance with the University Grants Commission regulations to see all-round development and safety of girl students, and women staff members. This Cell facilitates awareness programs, workshops and competitions exclusively for the benefit of girl students and women faculty members.

Objectives:

• To provide a safe, and secured ambience
• To see the well-beingness of girls and women staff
• To ensure that no gender-discrimination practiced in the campus
• To see the academic excellence of girl students
• To encourage girls to adopt competitive spirit
• To support the members to take up innovative programs
• To nurture the girl students to be self-defensive and self-reliant
• To maintain gender-equality in the campus
• Sensitize the students and staff to acknowledge and respect gender-specific roles
