The mission of AITS’s Department of M.B.A (Business Analytics) is:

  • To sharpen the ability of students to think critically through the lens of rigorous analytics.
  • To acquire emerging technologies and practices in next-generation analytics for complex data analysis.
  • To develop the skills and instincts needed to make sound decisions and become an effective manager.
  • Understand various elements of analytics: business context, technology and data science.
  • Understand the emergence of analytics as a competitive strategy.
  • Learn story selling using data and effective communication using analytics.
  • Learn to solve problems from different industries such as aerospace, banking and finance, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, retail, services, software, sports etc

Programme Outcomes

  • Ability to apply analytics techniques to analyse and interpret the data.
  • Ability to use tools such as Python, R etc. to solve business analytics problem.
  • Recognise the importance and value of mathematical and statistical thinking, training, and approaches to problem-solving, for a diverse variety of disciplines.
  • Have necessary skills and understanding to take up advanced topics in the area of analytics and thus, enhance their career.
  • Analyse the relationship between strategic decision making and corporate financing decisions.
  • Students will work on real-world projects and learn the skills necessary to succeed in data visualization, statistical modelling, data mining, optimization, and simulation in order to proficiently analyse large datasets and to generate actionable insights.

PSO – 1: Apply knowledge of management techniques in business environment

PSO – 3: Evaluate the systems and processes used in an organization including the planning, decision-making, group dynamics, innovation, production, supply chain, operations, technologies, marketing and distribution management.

PSO – 4: Design alternatives to solve business problems utilizing quantitative analysis, critical thinking and sound ethical decision making.

PSO – 5: Use research-based knowledge and methods including company analysis, primary and secondary data collection, analysis and interpretation of data to find out solution to business problems.
