About Principal

Dr. SMV Narayana is a dedicated educationist. He received his education in B. T. College, a premier institution of learning in the country. Dr. Narayana completed his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati in the year 1984. For his Master’s in Structural Engineering, he joined JNTU College of Engineering, Anantapur in 1989. Dr. Narayana pursued his research in JNTU Hyderabad. Subsequently, he received his PhD for his research on Evaluation of Mechanical and Durability of Normal Strength Concrete using Fly Ash and Waste Lime in the year 2008. His special interests are the study of English Literature, his childhood fascination. He evinces interest in reading Personality Development books.

Dr. Narayana devoted over two decades to the field of education and construction. During this time, while working for APSRTC, he gained rich experience in planning, design and construction of buildings, estimating the durability of structures. His avid interest in teaching pulled him towards research. After receiving his doctoral degree, Dr. Narayana went on to hold the position of the Principal at ACE, Madanapalli; SIST, Puttur and GKCE, Sullurpet in a span of five years. During this time, he gained enriching experience in Administrative skills. He took charge as the Principal in June, 2014.

Dr. Narayana attended various workshops and conferences. He published five research papers in reputed national journals. A member of MIE (India), Dr. Narayana is the recipient of Sir Arthur Cotton Award (National Award Gold Medal). He was conferred upon prestigious national award Brij Mohan Lal Award by Institution of Engineers (India).
