Library Committee


The library of the Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences was established on 14.06.1998 under Annamacharya Educational Trust, Rajampet, with 2384 volumes of Text Books and Reference Books of various titles.

In accordance with the objectives of the Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences, the library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for the students, faculty and research community of the College. The rich collection acquired over a period of 20 years, has some rare reference materials and several important journals. By June 2020, 60371 volumes and 10199 various Titles and 92 National and International Journals and 15 magazines and 8 news papers are available.

Sri. S. Chenna Reddy, M.A., M.L.I,Sc., B.Ed, M.Phil is heading the Library. To bring high standards to the library services, he has attended many seminars and workshops which focused on library Automation and effective functioning.

Library Policy

AITS Library is to provide open access to all the members with a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment promoting technical education, intellectual exploration and learning, access to well – managed and diverse library collections with the help of knowledgeable staff. Highest Priority is given to enable easy access to our integrated collection of electronic, print, audio visual learning materials in order to cater to the learning and research needs of users. The policy aims to ensure that access to materials is equitably distributed to the entire gamut of members of the library satisfying their diverse needs.

  • Minutes of the meeting of the Library Committee of AITS held in July 2019 at Principal Chamber.
  • Resolutions are passed to the members of Central Library.
  • Received Indents for procurement of Books.
  • Print Journals, e- Journals, Magazines, Binding of Books and other miscellaneous collection has been enhanced.
  • In July 2019,430 books were sent for Binding to the Krishna Chaitanya Binding works, Rajampet.
  • 484 Books have been received from Bookionics, Hyderabad, and other suppliers.
  • 92 Print Journals (National and Inter National) were Placed order.
  • E- Resources like J- Gate: Engineering and Technology, DELNET and Taylor and Francis are subscribed.
