AITS is a pioneering educational institution with a mission, vision and zeal to impart quality education to students from rural areas in the field of Technology and Science.

CRS VISIT & TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

Modern-day community Radio Stations serve their listeners by offering a variety of content which is useful and beneficial to the public especially local community. Community Radio Stations broadcast news, information, programs toward the local area, particularly immigrant or minority groups that are poorly served by other major media outlets. More specialized musical programs are also often a feature of many community radio stations. Community stations can be valuable assets for a region. Community radio stations typically avoid content found on commercial outlets, such as Top 40 music, sports, and "drive-time" personalities. A meme used by some in the movement is that community radio should be '10% radio and 90% community'. Community radio stations primarily focus on getting the community talking. Hence the social concerns of community radio are stressed above the actual making of radio.
