Sexual Harassment Cell

Preamble:

Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences (AITS) is resolved to see the campus free from any kind of sexual harassment. In tune with this resolution and AICTE regulations, Sexual Harassment Cell has been constituted at the campus. It spreads awareness about gestures and acts of sexual harassment amongst the student community in a subtle manner. If any incident noticed, thorough probe is taken up enquiring all the people even if they have a little involvement.

Objectives:

• To maintain harmony and gender balanced environment
• To ensure the safety and security of girl students and faculty members
• To provide awareness on physical abuse and mental harassment
• To motivate girl students to open up themselves about their sufferings, in case of any sexual harassment
• To motivate girl students to extend their supporting hand to their peer groups
• To enlighten the students to realize that male and female are too inevitable parts of the nature and one cannot escape from this real world
• To popularize about the existence of the cell
• To instill confidence amongst the girl students and women staff that they are not alone in their suffering and they need not endure it
